Mon Petit Bébés

There is a darling shopping center very near the house where my family stays when we visit the Outer Banks in North Carolina. The boardwalks of the center cross little ponds fed by the inlet waters. And poking out of those ponds is an extensive collection of beautiful birdhouses. Typically, by the time I visit OBX (last week of June), any baby birds have long since left the nest. But, right in line with all of the other craziness of this year, nesting seemed to happen much later than usual. Yay for me, because those birdhouses were at maximum occupancy and those babies couldn’t have been cuter. They made for some amazing pictures!
